About The Position

As a Medication Technician, you’ll play a vital role in providing essential daily care to older adults, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort. Requirements

  • A caring and patient individual who enjoys working with seniors
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
  • A positive attitude and a desire to make a real impact
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors or in long-term care, is highly preferred.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems is a plus.
  • Medication administration: At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Compassionate Care: Assist residents with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Keep Things Cozy: Help maintain a clean and comfortable living space by doing laundry, changing bed linens, and tidying rooms.
  • Support Mealtime Needs: Serve meals according to dietary guidelines while ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
  • Engage & Connect: Build meaningful relationships with residents, interact professionally with families and team members, and lead fun group activities.
  • Encourage Mobility & Independence: Safely transfer, lift, and position residents while assisting with transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Monitor & Advocate: Follow resident service plans, track vital signs, and report any changes in resident conditions to ensure the highest level of care.
