About The Position

The Medication Tech / CNA @ The Cardinal at North Hills is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. Medication Technician Must have a CNA certification 2nd (3p-11p) 3rd shift (11pm-7am) Pay Range $21/hr - $23 +/hr (MT/CNA Combo) Paid Vacation/ Free Meal each shift CNA: must be licensed in North Carolina verifiable through online registry MT: must be a licensed Medication Aide verifiable through online registry Must be able to provide certificate of completion of 10-hour and 5-hour or 15-hour Medication Technician Certification course (we will certify after 90 days of solid employment)

  • Nursing assistant course completion
  • First Aid certification and CPR, if required
  • Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications
  • Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA)

  • Have a completed a Nursing Assistant course (State approved, if required)
  • Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements)
  • Have current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Have completed the required training, and/or certification (according to state) for assisting with medications

Responsibilities

  • Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisor
  • Assist residents with simple requests as needed
  • Document and report changes of condition
  • Provide medication set up and assistance
  • Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns
  • Track all medications and re-order as needed
  • Track residence vital signs, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection, ambulation, etc.
