We have an opening for a swing or overnight Medication Technician. Medication Technicians serve as the vital link between nursing staff, residents, and families. Their observations and insights contribute to thoughtful care planning and timely interventions, directly impacting residents' quality of life. In addition to clinical skills, we need Medication Technicians who can lead by example by mentoring newer staff and fostering a culture of teamwork. They serve as mentors in sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the entire care team. This collaborative spirit ensures everyone works seamlessly to meet residents' needs, improve outcomes, and maintain a supportive work environment. Role of the Medication Technician: Administers or assists residents in self-administering medications and treatments; Measures vital signs and weight; and performs other health services tasks. Communicates with physicians, implements physician orders, and reports and documents pertinent information. Works closely with home health, hospice, and pharmacy services Diligently processing paperwork and administering meds/treatments Be able to work as a team throughout department Available Shifts: NOC Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Previous experience with Medication Administration required
  • Previous experience assisting with ADL's
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to pass criminal background and pre-employment drug test
  • Genuine love for seniors and a willingness to learn

Responsibilities
