About The Position

The Medication Tech / CNA @ The Cardinal at North Hills is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. Medication Technician Must have a CNA certification 2nd (3p-11p) 3rd shift (11pm-7am) Pay Range $21/hr - $23 +/hr (MT/CNA Combo) Paid Vacation/ Free Meal each shift CNA: must be licensed in North Carolina verifiable through online registry MT: must be a licensed Medication Aide verifiable through online registry Must be able to provide certificate of completion of 10-hour and 5-hour or 15-hour Medication Technician Certification course (we will certify after 90 days of solid employment) Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisor Assist residents with simple requests as needed Document and report changes of condition Provide medication set up and assistance Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns Track all medications and re-order as needed Track residence vital signs, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection, ambulation, etc. Bring a smile to work every day Be a great team player High school education or GED equivalent preferred Nursing assistant course completion First Aid certification and CPR, if required Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisor Assist residents with simple requests as needed Document and report changes of condition Provide medication set up and assistance Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns Track all medications and re-order as needed Track residence vital signs, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection, ambulation, etc. Bring a smile to work every day Be a great team player Be a high school graduate Have a completed a Nursing Assistant course (State approved, if required) Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements) Have current First Aid and CPR certification Have completed the required training, and/or certification (according to state) for assisting with medications CNA if required by state We create a great place to live for our residents and a great place to work for our associates. Requirements
