Position Summary Medication Technicians assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Wellness Director. Duties also include providing assistance with activities of daily living to our residents.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED. Must be able to provide proof of education.
  • First Aid certification upon hire or obtained during orientation.
  • Meet all health requirements including TB including all required immunizations. Must provide proof of MMR record.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver medications with the use of company chosen software to document resident electronic records.
  • Assist residents with all activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
  • Observe and record resident's condition
  • Provide help with resident transferring in and out of bed
  • Clean rooms and change linens
  • Deliver message, greet and direct visitors, answer phones
  • Support PSL service goals to all our Residents
  • Have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
