About The Position

Luxury Senior Living Communities In Kendall, Coral Gables & Homestead Is looking for Medication Passer (7:00am - 3:30pm & 3:00pm - 11:30pm) for its Palace at Coral Gables Luxury Independent Living for Active Adults 1 Andalusia Avenue Coral Gables, FL 33134 Best Independent Living Community in the US by the National Associated of Home Builders, 2014 The #1 Priority of this position is… To assist residents with the self administration of medications in accordance with physician’s order and AHCA regulations.

Requirements

• Must have a Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certificate for at least 2 years.
• Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
• Current State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs - Assistance with Medications in ALF setting certification required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Certified four (4) hour Med Pass course. Must be re-certified annually.
• Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English required.
• Spanish preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Responsible, always on time, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented.
• Flexible as to work schedule.
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of medicine count and report to ADRC when it is time to refill medications according to policies & procedures.
• Maintain MOR and ensure that it is correct & up-to-date.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from the dining room as needed.
