About The Position

As a Medication Management Tech WFH with Work from Home, you can be a part of an organization that is devoted to giving back! This role involves processing medication refill requests, assisting patients with medication order assistance, and troubleshooting. The tech will support the clinical staff, care team, pharmacy, provider, and patient as needed in regard to medication management and processing.

Requirements

  • College degree, Pharmacy Tech training, Medical Office Assistant program graduate.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (current/prior) with 1+ years experience or state nursing license.
  • In lieu of preferred education above - MA with 3 years' experience in medication management training.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail pharmacy tech background.
  • Physician practice medication management experience.
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech, or RN/LPN (current or prior).

Responsibilities

  • Support practices via providing efficient medication management.
  • Assist in the safe, secure, efficient, accurate, and timely ordering of medications.
  • Navigate patients through the prescription process.
  • Interact and troubleshoot prescription issues with internally and externally involved persons.
  • Troubleshoot patient medication issues.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks efficiently, addressing incoming in-basket work queues and other prescription correspondence daily.
  • Initiate refill requests.
  • Screen refill requests for appropriateness via electronic medical record chart audit.
  • Triage and address incoming patient needs.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of other technicians.
  • Maintain knowledge of clinic workflow and skill sets to support in urgent scenarios.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
