About The Position

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, founded in 1965, formerly known as Botsford Hospital, is a 330-bed teaching hospital with level II trauma center status. In 2014, Beaumont Farmington Hills hospital announced a $160 million expansion project which included an expansion of the hospital's Emergency and Trauma Center, construction of a new critical care unit and creation of a dedicated observation unit. In addition, the plan called for expanding and modernizing surgical services with nine new operating rooms. The expansion included a five-story, 80-bed tower. Scope of Work Provides technical assistance in the documentation and clarification of medication history lists under the direction of the pharmacist. Processes, enters, and interprets physician/nurse medication histories, under the direction of the pharmacist, and completes full history documentation in computerized system. Clarifies information through communication with providers, patients, and pharmacies. Performs special projects for the department. Works with multiple medication automation systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Required
  • LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan required Or LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan required
  • CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred Or CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree health care or related field
  • 1 year of relevant experience Pharmacy Required
  • 2 years of relevant experience Retail Pharmacy Preferred
