About The Position

Community Health Alliance is looking for full-time Medication- Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program Coordinator. We operate six convenient locations throughout Reno and Sparks, providing comprehensive, top-quality medical services, dental and pediatric care, behavioral health, low-cost pharmacies, nourishing food pantries, and more. Job Summary: The Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program Coordinator is responsible for the daily oversight, management, and growth of the MAT program, ensuring it provides high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) and other substance use disorders (SUD). The coordinator will collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to promote patient engagement, streamline program operations, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Our team members enjoy benefits that include: Competitive salary: $54,980 - $82,470 100% company paid employee medical insurance and 90% paid vision and dental on the 60th day from date of hire. Requirements

  • Knowledge of addiction treatment principles, especially Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for SUD and OUD, including familiarity with medications like methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
  • Expertise in federal, state, and local regulations impacting MAT, such as privacy laws (HIPAA) and specific guidelines for medication management and patient documentation.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Proficiency in program management, including coordinating schedules, managing patient flow, and addressing barriers to access.
  • Skills in process improvement, data analysis, and program evaluation to continually enhance program efficiency, outcomes, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Competency in collecting, managing, and analyzing patient and program data to monitor outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to use data analytics software or reporting tools to track patient progress, assess program effectiveness, and prepare reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to serve as the main contact for MAT patients, providing clear information and support throughout treatment.
  • Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (clinical, behavioral health, pharmacy) and establish partnerships with community organizations and support services.
  • Experience in staff training and professional development, ensuring team members are knowledgeable about MAT protocols, addiction treatment best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive work environment that encourages collaboration and continuous learning among team members.
  • Skill in program promotion, community outreach, and collaboration with local organizations and government agencies to increase awareness of the MAT program and build a robust referral network.
  • Ability to create educational materials with the help of communications staff, promoting understanding of MAT services and engaging the community.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Experience in program coordination or management, preferably in addiction treatment or behavioral health preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MAT principles, substance use disorder treatment, and harm reduction practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
