About The Position

We are currently seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Medication Aide to join our healthcare team for the full-time 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to resident care and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medication Aide required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication administration.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work the 2nd shift schedule and cover additional shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Accurately document medication administration and report any variances or concerns to the supervising nurse.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' conditions or reactions to medications.
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage, security, and disposal as per guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive resident care.
• Educate residents and families about medications, potential side effects, and adherence to therapy plans.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain competency and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
