About The Position
The Village at Sherman Oaks is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team. This part-time position is primarily focused on assisting and administering medications to residents as prescribed by their physicians. The Medication Aide will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive their medications accurately and on time, contributing to their overall health and well-being. The position requires a commitment to maintaining detailed documentation of all medication management activities, including any negative reactions to medications, which must be promptly reported to the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Additionally, the Medication Aide will assist in managing medication refills and updating resident records as necessary. This role is essential in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring they feel safe and cared for in our community. The ideal candidate will have experience as a caregiver, although we are willing to provide training for those who are new to medication administration. First Aid and CPR certification is required, and while coursework or training in medication administration is a plus, it is not mandatory. The position is part-time, with shifts available primarily in the evenings from 3 PM to 11 PM, Wednesday through Monday.
