About The Position

Somerfield Health Center at The Heritage at Brentwood is currently seeking a full-time Certified Medication Aide for double weekend (16 hour) shifts every Saturday & Sunday. Somerfield at The Heritage is a 5-star, 66-bed skilled nursing facility on the beautiful campus of The Heritage at Brentwood in TN. Requirements

Successful completion of state-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program and Medicine Aide Course
Active Medication Aide certification in Tennessee required

Nice To Haves

Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

Performs duties as Certified Medication Aide by safety preparing, administering, and charting all medications/drugs by following administration protocol
Checks with nursing if there are any questions regarding any medication
Reports medication errors or reactions to medications immediately
Performs duties as a CNA by assisting residents with daily needs, giving treatments, performing tests, collecting specimens, and carrying out procedures as instructed by nursing.
Administers care to residents with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities.
Helps residents with daily needs, including bathing and maintaining proper hygiene.
Feeds residents and ensures taking their medications.
Monitors resident vital signs.
