About The Position

The Medication Adherence Specialist I serves as a vital link between patients, providers, and pharmacists, ensuring optimal medication adherence through effective communication and customer service. This remote role requires empathy and strong phone etiquette to assist patients in obtaining medication refills and addressing any barriers they may face. The specialist works closely with pharmacy technicians and care teams to provide quality service and enhance patient experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience required.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google documents/spreadsheets required.
  • US work authorization required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred (medical Spanish is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Contact patients to assist and remind them in obtaining refills on their medications from their respective pharmacies.
  • Coordinate with care teams to identify and address barriers preventing patients from receiving their refills.
  • Ensure a seamless experience for patients and strive for first call resolution.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or required.
