About The Position

The Medication Access Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating access to affordable medications for both insured and uninsured patients within the ACO patient population. This position involves collaboration with clinical pharmacists and care management teams to improve medication-related quality measures and provide education on medication access.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Triage medication cost referrals for available assistance programs.
  • Assist with medication-related quality measure improvement.
  • Coordinate patient care needs in collaboration with ACO Clinical Pharmacist Specialists.
  • Provide medication access-related education to ACO and BJCMG as applicable.
  • Collaborate with directors, managers, and other disciplines to plan and implement projects related to patient care.
  • Assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis.
  • Identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
  • Ensure overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of projects or operations-oriented work efforts.
  • Establish methods to monitor the availability of reportable data and assist with planning and implementing new projects.
  • Work directly with leadership on internal business development activities, integration of business and quality goals and objectives, scope of services, and compliance planning.
