St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Medication Access Specialist to support pharmacy benefit medications within the Medication Assistance Pharmacy team. This role, based in the Pharmacy Administration Department and reporting to the Pharmacy Business Manager, offers a hybrid work option after training. The specialist will assist patients with complex assistance programs, working closely with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, conducting insurance and financial reviews, managing medication coordination and addressing medication-related issues with third-party payers and SLHS personnel. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to establish collaborative relationships are essential. This position is responsible for assisting patients in identifying and navigating complex assistance programs (manufacturer, foundations, grants, and internal programs) for medications processed through the pharmacy benefit. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • Three (3) + years' experience
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
