Job Description: POSITION TYPE: Full-time, 100% remote. Candidates must have reliable internet access and a suitable remote work environment SCOPE: The Medication Access & Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for evaluating payer coverage pathways and coordinating patient access to oncology therapies across medical and pharmacy benefits. This role serves as a critical operational link between infusion services, specialty pharmacy, revenue cycle, and procurement, ensuring optimal drug channel selection, reimbursement capture, and timely patient access. This position supports enterprise-wide oncology operations by aligning drug access strategies with payer requirements, financial performance goals, and patient affordability programs.)

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in: o Oncology medication access, reimbursement, or specialty pharmacy o OR infusion center financial navigation / prior authorization
  • Strong understanding of: o Medical vs. pharmacy benefit structures o Oncology drug reimbursement (J-codes, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy models)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and Crystal Report Writer
  • Must type a minimum of 65 wpm.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payer coverage policies and prior authorization processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of 340B and GPO purchasing implications preferred.
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy platforms (e.g., PioneerRx, HouseRx, etc.) preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer assistance programs and foundations.
