About The Position

This position involves conducting all phases of the Medicare Advantage sales process, including identifying, qualifying, and meeting with prospective clients. The role requires presenting Medicare Advantage (MA) products to achieve company and individual enrollment goals, ensuring enrollees fully understand MA products, managed care, and company policies by providing clear, complete, and accurate information. The candidate will conduct home visits and personalized appointments as needed to complete the enrollment process, develop and maintain positive relationships with senior, community, and provider organizations, and market Medicare products on-site at various locations. The role also includes conducting in-person and virtual group and individual sales presentations, generating leads through outreach and networking efforts, and completing internal management reports in a timely manner. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for sales events and community outreach is required.

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Active NYS Accident & Health Insurance License (must maintain continuous licensure).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for frequent travel.
  • 2-3 years of sales or customer relations experience.
  • Demonstrated mastery of the consultative sales process with a successful sales track record.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, project planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and execute sales events effectively.
  • Must be highly motivated, goal-oriented, and self-directed.
  • Requires confidence, independent thinking, and the ability to present oneself professionally.
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of Medicare-eligible populations, including individuals with chronic conditions and disabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Basic data entry and typing skills required.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, a willingness to learn, and a high level of personal integrity.
  • Ability to assist with departmental projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Present Medicare Advantage (MA) products to achieve company and individual enrollment goals.
  • Ensure enrollees fully understand MA products, managed care, and company policies by providing clear, complete, and accurate information.
  • Conduct home visits and personalized appointments as needed to complete the enrollment process.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with senior, community, and provider organizations, site staff, and other key stakeholders within the assigned territory.
  • Market Medicare products on-site at provider facilities, senior centers, community events, and other designated locations.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual group and individual sales presentations, adhering to company and CMS sales and marketing guidelines.
  • Generate leads through various outreach and networking efforts.
  • Complete internal management reports, such as enrollment activity, field reports, and expense documentation, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct member orientations and provide support on plan benefits.
  • Complete annual Medicare training and maintain compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
