Requirements

  • Strong numerical aptitude and comfort working with data and billing details.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • A compliance‑focused mindset with the ability to interpret and implement regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all hospital departments.
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Operational knowledge of computer data entry systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of Medicare hospital billing experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and electronically submit all Medicare claims and complete timely follow-up based on established guidelines.
  • Review and work billing-related reports, including Late Charge and No Charge reports, and perform related follow-up.
  • Assist patients and payers by addressing billing questions and providing accurate claim information.
  • Complete daily operational tasks such as charge entry, cash receipt posting, printing billing forms/reports, and balancing accounts receivable.
  • Monitor and interpret Medicare regulatory updates and share pertinent changes with department leaders.
  • Maintain and update the charge master, including additions, deletions, edits, and new charge number creation using fee schedules.
  • Participate in Corporate Compliance, including completing monthly logs.
