About The Position
Great American Insurance Company is seeking a Medicare Analyst to join our Corporate Claims team. This position is integral to supporting all aspects of Medicare compliance, including Section 111 reporting and MSP conditional payment recovery. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of basic Medicare reporting concepts, procedures, and processes. We are looking for someone who is curious, willing to invest time to dig deeper, and able to apply root cause analysis concepts while promoting process standardization. In this role, you will participate in planning and coordinating projects, preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements. You will track progress, identify obstacles, and participate in resolving them. General administrative support to project staff will be part of your responsibilities, which may include preparing routine to moderately complex correspondence, memoranda, agendas, status reports, and summaries. You will also facilitate logistics such as scheduling meetings and conference calls, taking meeting minutes, and performing basic follow-up tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing charts, graphs, presentations, and tables of a moderately complex nature. Collecting, compiling, and analyzing moderately complex information for reports and presentations will be essential. Building and maintaining strong relationships within the division and across the company will be crucial, as will demonstrating a working knowledge of department policies and procedures. Other duties may include managing RREs, Section 111 file responses, and working with CMS Contractors to resolve technical issues. You will also track and log all relevant Medicare activities and perform data cleanup as needed.
