About The Position

The Medicare Advantage Project Assistant at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is responsible for analyzing data to create statistical reports for program evaluation. Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience (2 years).
• 2 years of project coordination or related work experience.
• 1 year of experience working proficiently with word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and database applications software.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic business math proficiency.
• Strong analytical or critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of administrative, project specialization, or industry-specific experience.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to persuade, negotiate, and/or influence.
• Knowledge of Harvard graphics or PowerPoint.
• Ability to run DB2 queries.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data for creating statistical reports used for program or process evaluation.
• Maintains databases and extracts data for analysis.
• Runs, reviews reports, and analyzes results in support of operational functions.
• Provides coordination for a variety of area specific projects.
• Completes project support functions and gathers information.
• Prepares letters, reports, graphs, forms, or presentations.
• Organizes and expedites the flow of work through management's office, including maintenance of highly confidential files and records.
• Coordinates with purchasing to ensure adequate supplies are on hand at all times.
• Coordinates and completes special projects as assigned by management.
