About The Position

Imagine your week You receive a project plan 1–3 weeks in advance. You study proposals, port maps, wiring diagrams, and infrastructure drawings. On site, you place equipment, pull and terminate cables, interconnect devices, and configure software. With your multimeter and DLRO, you validate power and continuity, run test scripts, and partner with hospital IT to finalize network settings. You update the project manager, complete checklists and Siebel entries, submit time and expenses, and head to your next site. Your mission Install operating room integration systems under the direction of an Integration Specialist (I/II) or Integration Project Manager, operating with limited direct supervision. Translate technical documents into action: place hardware, terminate and connect all cabling, configure software, and test per procedures. Verify final system configuration on hospital networks and report progress clearly and promptly. Model professional conduct with customers, contractors, and teammates; follow all site entry/exit protocols and STERIS/Customer Health & Safety procedures. Complete administrative requirements on time: checklists, Siebel updates, time entry, and expense reporting. Your schedule & travel High travel/commute role with significant driving and likely overnight stays. Nationwide travel by company vehicle or air; assignments often include day trips, overnights, and up to week-long projects. Hours flex with customer needs; overtime is common but not guaranteed.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED plus 2+ years recent cable/AV/electronics installation experience; or Associate’s in Electronics (or similar) plus 1+ year related experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability; knowledge of PCs, video technology, video cabling, and networking.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with customers; proficiency with Windows software.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities; willingness to travel extensively and work non-traditional hours when needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
