Medical Transporter
About The Position
Monday - Friday 8a-4p, Flexible some mornings could be as early as 5:00am and as late as 6:00pm Responsible for the transporting of Residential individuals to both outside and HCS appointments. Time Management is crucial for this position, as transporters are responsible for taking as many people as possible to appointments daily. This often requires transporters to begin picking people up at their homes as early as 6:30 am, and for some hospital procedures, as early as 4 am. All OGC and SET policies and procedures must be adhered to as well as company standards for appropriate dress.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of all Southeast Trans (SET) courses as well as OGC medication Administration course.
- F endorsement required.
Responsibilities
- Transporters are responsible for providing safe travel to and from all medical appointments, procedures and/or surgeries.
- The successful candidate will treat individuals in their care with dignity and respect as he/she will be the OGC representative to the public.
- The transporter will communicate with house managers and coordinators on upcoming appointments, gather information regarding the appointments and provide the house manager papers to complete prior to appointments to ensure all necessary information is available for every appointment.
- HIPPA confidentiality must be maintained in accordance to regulations.
- Transporter is responsible for completion of billing forms for each appointment taken daily, and all completed billing forms are submitted to accounting every Wednesday morning.
- It is the responsibility of the transporter to keep the provided vehicle clean both inside and outside.
- The company vehicle cannot be used for personal reasons and no person(s) besides OGC individuals/staff are allowed to ride in the vehicle.
