About The Position

The Medical Transport Dispatcher and Router at Ali Medical Transport is responsible for overseeing the logistics of non-emergency medical transportation operations. This role involves creating efficient routes, dispatching drivers, and ensuring effective communication with clients and insurance providers to facilitate daily transportation needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience dispatching with a logistics mindset.
• Ability to manage variables and factors while considering outcomes (type of van, number of drivers, driving time, time off).
• Strong digital, phone, and written communication skills, capable of answering 100+ calls a day.
• Intimate knowledge of the Richmond metro area (zip codes, streets, regions).
• Effective at managing competing, high-level priorities and periods of stressful workload.

Responsibilities

• Creating routes and dispatching drivers efficiently while maximizing multiloading.
• Communicating with insurance providers, facilities, and clients to accept, reject, and acknowledge cancelled trips.
• Acting as the main point of contact for drivers and clients.
• Planning the next day's trips in advance by organizing a daily trip manifest.
• Assisting and delegating office responsibilities with the team.
• Cross-training and performing other duties as assigned.
