Medical Transcriptionist
About The Position
This medical facility is seeking a part-time transcriptionist as a member of the administrative team. This position would include listening to the recorded dictation via USB drives and the ability to transcribe from digital recorders. They must have 3-5 years’ experience in transcribing diagnostic test results, operative reports, referral letters, and other documents. They would also be in charge of reviewing and editing drafts prepared by speech recognition software, making sure that the transcription is correct, complete, and has a consistent style. As well as identifying inconsistencies, errors, and missing information within a report that could compromise patient care and follow up with the provider to ensure the accuracy of the reports.
