About The Position
We are seeking experienced Medical Telemetry Neuro RNs to join a high-acuity acute care unit in Tallahassee, Florida. This role cares for adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring and neurological oversight, including stroke, seizure disorders, neurovascular conditions, and complex medical diagnoses. The RN must be comfortable managing telemetry monitoring, conducting detailed neurological assessments, and responding quickly to changes in patient status.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Telemetry or neuro experience.
- ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive medical and neurological assessments.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry changes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Perform neuro checks and monitor for acute changes in condition.
- Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
