About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Science.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) from AMT, ASCP, or NCA.
• For those with an Associate Degree in MLT prior to January 1, 2006, 3 years of experience and passed MT (AMT) certification is required.
• Graduates before February 29, 1992, must have passed the HEW/HHS proficiency exam for Medical Technologist or completed 90 hours in an accredited college with specific coursework.
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
