The Medical Technologist is responsible for the performance of automated, semi-automated, and/or manual procedures in the analysis of specimens and demonstrates knowledge of techniques and competence in the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, hematology, serology, chemistry, immunology, immunohematology, and flow cytometry as required for the position. You will accurately perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory tests specific to the area of the assignment. You will perform quality control and preventive maintenance and assess results for acceptability. You will ensure specimen integrity throughout the testing process.

  • Perform automated, semi-automated, and/or manual procedures in the analysis of specimens.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of techniques and competence in various fields including bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, hematology, serology, chemistry, immunology, immunohematology, and flow cytometry.
  • Accurately perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory tests.
  • Perform quality control and preventive maintenance.
  • Assess results for acceptability.
  • Ensure specimen integrity throughout the testing process.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university, or Bachelor's degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences.
  • Current State license (within six months of hire date) or provisional license per State regulations as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  • General Supervisor license is required if working alone.
