About The Position
Experienced Medical Technologists are invited to join a leading regional laboratory in Hudson, Florida , serving a high-volume hospital environment. This role offers excellent professional growth, modern technology, and a collaborative team dedicated to quality, accuracy, and patient safety. As a key member of our laboratory services team, you will perform a full range of stat and routine clinical laboratory testing in Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank . You'll apply advanced diagnostic principles and independent judgment to ensure timely, precise, and regulatory-compliant results that support patient care decisions 24/7.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Active Florida Technologist License (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
- Strong working knowledge of laboratory equipment, processes, and documentation standards.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related life science.
- Experience in a hospital-based or high-volume clinical lab setting.
- Familiarity with Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology testing disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory testing following established protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct and document quality control procedures; take corrective actions as needed.
- Review and interpret test results, performing delta checks and verifying accuracy before release.
- Process specimens efficiently, ensuring compliance with specimen handling protocols.
- Analyze proficiency testing samples and complete results within required timeframes.
- Participate in inventory control and reagent monitoring to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Support departmental compliance with CAP , CLIA , and other regulatory standards.
- Act as department lead or point of contact in supervisor's absence.
- Contribute to the laboratory's performance goals in quality, turnaround time, and patient satisfaction.
