About The Position
The Medical Technologist at MultiCare is responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance, and technical problem resolution. This role requires a service-committed, detail-oriented individual capable of complex data analysis, sound independent judgment, and critical thinking skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences
- Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB)
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Medical Technology
- Specialist Certification in discipline
- Specialist Hematology, SH (ASCP), Microbiology, SM (ASCP), Specialist BldBnking, SBB (ASCP), Tech Chemistry, SC (ASCP)
Responsibilities
- Receive specimens, establish and maintain positive identification of specimens
- Determine suitability of specimen
- Acquire/prepare reagents as needed
- Perform instrument maintenance and calibration
