Responsibilities $7500 SIGN ON BONUS! MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST MT/MLS/MLT Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Bridgton Hospital Pathology team! This is a Part-time, 24 hours per week, beneift eligible position The Medical Technologist performs routine and complex procedures in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy. obtains and receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principles, performs quality control, performs preventative maintenance, and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. works independently, organizes work to meet established deadlines, records all data obtained, and maintains job competence. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Technologist MT/MLS/MLT/CLT by ASCP or equivalent, required within 6 months of hire.
  • A.S., B.S degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related science from an accredited school preferred
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Non-traditional routes to establish skill level may be accepted after review of experience and education.
