About The Position
Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026! A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services. Medical Technologist Performs and interprets diagnostic procedures in all areas of Clinical Laboratory: chemistry, hematology, serology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood banking, and microbiology. Maintains daily quality control charts and preventive maintenance records. Assists in orientation of new employees. Responsibility encompasses provision of care of patients 0 to geriatric age. May be required to perform phlebotomy. Will readily cross-train to other job descriptions and float to other departments as deemed necessary by the Laboratory Manager. The Med Technologist is under direct supervision of the Lab Section Supervisor/Lab Manager and is accountable to the Director of Laboratory Services. To learn more visit Welcome - Alan B. Requirements
- Associates of Science required; Bachelor of Science preferred.
- Must meet CLIA requirements to get FL Medical Technologist license
- Minimum of 1 year required; 3-5 years preferred.
- Critical thinking, basic computer, lab skills
- Florida Medical Technologist license

- Bachelor of Science preferred.
