About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) to support overnight laboratory operations in an acute-care hospital environment. This role performs complex diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory disciplines, delivering accurate and timely results that directly impact patient care and clinical decision-making.

Requirements

• Florida State Generalist Laboratory License (active or applied and near completion)
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
• MT/MLS registry required by start date
• Strong foundational laboratory knowledge
• New graduates with clinical rotations or laboratory assistant experience will be considered

Nice To Haves

• ASCP or equivalent certification
• Prior experience working as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory analyses including microscopic, immunologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, biologic, and chemical testing
• Conduct testing across Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology
• Receive, process, and accession specimens while maintaining proper documentation
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on laboratory instrumentation
• Complete and document quality control procedures in accordance with laboratory policies and regulatory standards
• Identify, document, and resolve testing or equipment issues
• Assist with training and mentoring of new staff and students
• Participate in phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed
