About The Position

The Medical Technologist accurately and promptly, performs a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This role requires adherence to strict quality control procedures, a commitment to patient safety, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely results.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Laboratory Sciences, including completion of one-year training in an approved school of medical technology and eligible for registration with ASCP
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS by the ASCP) preferred.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and medical terminology

Nice To Haves

• One or more years’ experience working as a Medical Technologist in a hospital laboratory setting that includes the performance of high complexity testing.
• Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records
