Medical Technologist
About The Position
The Medical Technologist is an excellent technical opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service-committed individual, who is detail oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences (required)
- Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB)
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred)
- Specialist Certification in discipline (preferred)
- Specialist Hematology,SH (ASCP), Microbiology, SM (ASCP), Specialist BldBnking,SBB (ASCP), Tech Chemistry, SC (ASCP
Responsibilities
- You will receive specimens, establish and maintain positive identification of specimens
- You will determine suitability of specimen
- You will acquire/prepare reagents as needed
- You will perform instrument maintenance and calibration
