Requirements

Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Current or eligible Florida Technologist License (must be obtained prior to hire).
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends.

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related discipline.
Experience in a hospital-based or high-volume laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory testing following established protocols.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments; perform quality control and equipment troubleshooting.
Analyze, interpret, and validate test results with sound clinical judgment.
Document results accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, etc.).
Support testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology departments.
Manage stat and routine test orders within turnaround time goals.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure appropriate specimen collection and test interpretation.
Maintain proficiency with laboratory information systems and workflow documentation.
Assist in maintaining supply inventories and supporting departmental performance goals.
