About The Position

The Medical Technologist position involves working Monday through Thursday nights from 8 PM to 6:30 AM, with rotating holidays. The technologist is responsible for independently performing laboratory procedures for which they have been trained and demonstrated competency. This includes conducting laboratory testing on patients of all ages, utilizing professional knowledge of laboratory procedures to execute, interpret, and analyze results accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required plus sufficient college and/or technical school courses and clinical training.
• Certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• No prior experience required beyond education/training requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, medical technology, or in a life/biological science.
• One year of supervised clinical experience as a medical technologist in a clinical setting.
• Competency in areas of the laboratory including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, blood bank, and microbiology.
