About The Position

The Medical Lab Technician and Medical Technologist positions involve performing specimen collection, patient testing functions, and related tasks to ensure accurate and efficient reporting of laboratory data. Responsibilities include accurate reporting of test results, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems, instrument maintenance, documentation of problems, and following safe laboratory practices. Both roles participate in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with approved internship for Medical Lab Technician.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or health-related field for Medical Technologist.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent, or registry eligible.
  • Registry eligible candidates must complete Board of Registry ASCP examination within the first 12 months of employment.
