Georgetown Community Hospital is an acute care hospital with 75-beds offering a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, intensive care, surgical, emergency and diagnostic services. From our bariatrics to women's services to radiology, we have a wide range of services serve our community. Position Summary: Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services. Essential Functions Additional Information Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present. Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and equipment handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred.
- Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT required (licensure must reflect education requirements).
