About The Position

Position Highlights: Position: Med Lab Tech/Med Lab Scientist Job Type: Full-Time Location: Community Hospital/Lab Application Deadline : January 12, 2026 Responsibilities: Performs all designated Community Hospital Lab procedures competently, including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Specimen Processing, Blood Bank and Microbiology when designated. Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and solves problems or determines alternative solutions for analysis if needed and reports all deviations from established procedure to the Lab Manager. Investigates testing problems/errors and informs Lab Manager of all irregularities, errors or instrument failures and measures taken to solve. Performs and documents quality control and quality assurance. Documents all quality control failures and corrective action taken. Interprets correlates and reports test results. Verifies computer-generated reports. Pulls various reports throughout the day to ensure complete, thorough and timely reporting of laboratory test results. Advises following shift about the status of any pending work. Makes contact with ordering physicians/departments as critical values, STAT reports, and similar circumstances present. Understands that time is of the essence in conveying such information to the ordering physician. Requirements: Associates degree in biological services with at least two (2) years of experience preferred ASCP certification or equivalent required Compensation: MLS-$33.00 - $37.95 per hour, depending on education and experience. MLT-$23.00 - $29.90 per hour, depending on education and experience. Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available. Requirements
