About The Position

This is a full generalist position, rotating through all laboratory departments (Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry/Urinalysis and Blood Bank). All training, approximately 12 weeks, will be scheduled on 1st shift and will be completed before joining the weekend/holiday rotation. Eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus!

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Associates degree in MLT.
• Medical Technologist (MT) or Med Lab Tech (MLT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
• Medical Technologist (MT) or Med Lab Tech (MLT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
• Under approved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity testing within the Clinical Laboratory.
• Prepare samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation.
• Perform numerous complicated tests simultaneously.
• Accurately evaluate, correlate, and interpret test results.
