FTE: 0.2_, Shift: Evenings_, Schedule: 2pm - 10:30pm, rotating weekends Candidates must have Microbiology experience Position Summary The Medical Technologist is an excellent technical opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service-committed individual, who is detail oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences
- Certification or registry eligible for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB)
- Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible (if duties will include phlebotomy)
Nice To Haves
- SC, SM (ASCP), MS in Clinical Chemistry or molecular diagnostics experience preferred for Immunology only
Responsibilities
- You will receive specimens, establish and maintain positive identification of specimens
- You will determine suitability of specimen
- You will acquire/prepare reagents as needed
- You will perform instrument maintenance and calibration
