About The Position

A Medical Technologist performs a variety of complex procedures on patient samples in a timely manner, while maintaining both accuracy and precision. The information obtained from these procedures will be used to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases in a clinical setting. The Medical Lab Technician performs a variety of complex procedures on patient samples in a timely manner, while maintaining both accuracy and precision. The information obtained from these procedures will be used to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases in a clinical setting. This position may require other related duties and activities as assigned by the Laboratory Director.

Requirements

An associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology
Trained and worked in a clinical laboratory setting, while serving in the United States military as a medical laboratory specialist

Nice To Haves

Certification as a MT or MLS by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), National Certification Agency (NCA), American Medical Technologists (AMT) or similar organizations
Proof of recertification including member ID and expiration date, if certified
Certification as an MLT by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), National Certification Agency (NCA), American Medical Technologists (AMT) or similar organization

Responsibilities
