About The Position
Position Title: Medical Technologist II Department: Laboratory Purpose: Perform moderate and high complexity testing in some or all areas of the Laboratory, including Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Microbiology, Serology, and Blood Bank. Medical Technologists key responsibilities include proper patient and specimen identification, adherence to testing policies and procedures, instrument use and troubleshooting, and computer functions. Medical Laboratory Technicians work closely with Phlebotomists, Medical Technologists, Nursing and Physicians to provide patient care. Meets qualifications for testing personnel performing high complexity testing as specified in C.L.I.A. Subpart M. Sec. 493.1491.
