About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an approved college or university or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent military training.
• Registered or registry eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or CSMLS within 12 months of hire).
• Prefer 6 months to 1 year of medical laboratory technologist experience in an acute care facility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens according to standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
• Analyze test results and prepare samples for testing.
• Calculate test findings and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and determine the validity of solutions, reagents, media stains, and various materials in the testing process.
• Process and test all types of laboratory specimens; review and report lab results.
• Perform operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Act as a resource to other laboratory personnel.
