Ensures critical patient information and data are communicated effectively with the multidisciplinary team across the continuum of care and documented properly within the patient record. Assists and/or provides the department during times of increased workload or personnel absenteeism to provide uninterrupted services to our customers. Investigates unusual test result situations, documenting appropriate corrective actions. Helps maintain adequate inventory of supplies. Communicates with the healthcare team and co-workers. Serve as a resource for other staff or clients regarding laboratory and section matters.
