About The Position
Athena Care is currently seeking a Medical Technician for our Franklin clinic with a schedule of Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. The Medical Technician will provide front desk support and serve as a back-up for patient needs related to labs, vitals, and phone calls. The role includes greeting incoming patients, assisting with the check-in process, and providing superior customer service to all individuals and agencies involved through any and all modes of contact as needed. The technician will assist with interventional treatments as directed and in accordance with policy and procedure, order and maintain inventory of controlled substances in compliance with DEA and FDA guidelines, and effectively perform laboratory procedures including drug screens, venipuncture draws, vital signs, and other specialty tests. Additionally, the technician will monitor messages, call lines, and faxes for patient inquiries, engage with patients based on therapeutic best practices, document accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), follow scheduling procedures, and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
