About The Position
Medical Surgical Technicians Make It Possible Medical Surgical Technician - Outpatient Infusion - Full Time Take initiative and balance the perfect blend of patient care and clinical practices. Bring the best in care and caring, all while providing quality phlebotomy, EKG, and vital signs monitoring. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment in our oncology treatment center. This position will support the the Starr Infusion Center, and DHK Ambulatory Center. Balance the perfect blend of patient care and clinical practices. Our Med Surg Techs greet patients and their families, bringing comfort, calm and compassion. As the eyes and ears of our award-winning Nursing team, you will accurately measure and record patient vital signs including body temperature, pulse respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate excellence in the drawing of blood or performing finger sticks — when expertise and superior service makes all the difference in Putting Patients First. This is a full-time, day shift position. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistant certification
