About The Position

The Medical Surgical Technician - Surgery II is responsible for ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness of patients and their environments. This role involves understanding the appropriate storage and safety of medications, including large volume IVs, alcohol, saline, and medications in prepackaged kits. The technician will conduct hourly rounds using Service Excellence Standards, promoting a comfortable and safe environment for patients and visitors. Additionally, the technician will perform or assist with nutritional and hydration interventions, collect and record patient-related data, and communicate relevant information to the interdisciplinary team. The position also emphasizes continued professional growth through goal setting and participation in evidence-based tasks, while ensuring health and safety for both patients and staff. General transportation and courier duties may also be required as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent from an accredited school.
