About The Position

Position Purpose: At Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Registered Nurses (RN) in the Medical Surgical Unit delivers patient care for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions. What you will do: Med-Surg nurses continuously assess patients' conditions, monitor vitals, administer orders and medications, and document progress throughout the patients' stay. Educate patients and families about their conditions and self-care. Work closely with all physicians and healthcare provider staff for close monitoring of neurological statuses, cognitive functions, motor skills, sensory responses, and other therapies. Ministry/Facility Information Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school
  • Valid RN License in Connecticut
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Med/Surg experience in an acute inpatient setting.
