Overview: Job Description Summary: Participates in a medical student research fellowship program, supporting research projects, conducting clinical research, and receiving supervision and guidance from mentors and leadership. Job Description: Essential Functions: Participates in multiple research projects and conducts clinical research under the supervision of mentors and the research leadership. Collaborates with medical and research professionals to advance research initiatives. Prepares and submits abstracts and manuscripts for publication, ensuring high-quality and impactful research dissemination Participates in clinical activities and shadowing as scheduling allows. Assists under direct supervision and the surgeon's request in suctioning, holding retractors, providing counter traction, sponging, and following and cutting suture. Does not cut tissue, cauterize, or place or tie sutures. Attends weekly resident didactic lectures, case presentations, grand rounds, skills labs, and monthly research team meetings to enhance clinical and research knowledge. Requirements

  • Completion of third year of medical school, required.
  • Completion of Step 1 of United States Medical Licensing Examination, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with clinical research and scientific writing, preferred.
